Description
An antique pocket watch rests open on a dark cloth, showcasing its intricate Roman numeral face and delicate hands. The warm, sepia-toned lighting creates a vintage and timeless atmosphere.
This watch was given to my father-in-law when he decided to flee Lithuania ahead of the Russian Army during WWII. He carried it through a labor camp in Dachau, through a resettlement camp in Germany, and on to the United States where he made a living making teeth until his death. After he died we went through his safe and found this watch. Ironically, a Russian Watchmaker in St. Louis repaired it.
